https://www.goedkoopvliegen.nl/uncategorized/pp9ihuu3ev0 About our collaboration with Ride and K2
For this season, Reverse teamed up with K2 and Ride snowboards in order to offer a 360-degree view of the multiple sport options in the mountains. No matter the terrain or conditions, our mission is to deliver a monthly article following Swiss athletes through parks, backcountry and streets.

5 years and still going strong
Coming in hot, the fifth edition of the Jib Days was a remarkable success. Thanks to the perfect spring weather and a slushy park, all of the ladies threw hammers and had fun over the weekend. Set during the first days of real water boarding, the Crystal Ground Snow Park shaped a fun course with different options for every level of riding. Girls from all over Europe have shared laughs, slams and beers. Year by year the\is vast community of friends has turned into a big family who welcomes new members every edition. Despite the harmonious atmosphere, none of the riders stopped themselves from trying new tricks and landing stylish ones. Celebrations quickly moved from the slopes to the local casino. To keep the mayhem going, wine and roulettes set the night on fire.

On the first day Mary Luggen took away the best trick section with a relaxed BS Boardslide on the quad kink set for the occasion. Laax rider Jöelle JJ Juchli was crowned for the best style. Hot maneuvers and pop for days! The non-sponsored category saw Momo Dudzinski going home with a brand new Ride board. Adopting the “press to impress” strategy to the letter paid off. The Norwegian queen of the fifth reunion, Dina Treland, snapped the best overall section — big money. Solid switch wizardry and fast rail gaps guaranteed her flying back home with a big smile on her face.

The lady of steel: Gaia Giacomazzi
Behind every successful event, there are genius minds creating them. Gaia Giacomazzi, who has south Swiss roots and is renowned for her rail skills, is not a stranger to the world of snowboarding. On her first season back on track after injuries, in between the struggles of student life, she has managed to be a consistent winter at the yearly reunion in the Austrian resort of Kleiner Walsertal. What better chance to sit down and talk about snowboarding with her?

About the Jib Days

How did the idea of creating this special weekend come up?
Back in 2011, I used to spend most of my time around the Crystal Ground Snowpark area. One day, the shapers responsible asked me if I was interested in hosting an event. During that winter, some other locals had hosted events with remarkable highlights. Together with Carmen Beccaro, we decided to create this special project called “Jib Days”

Nowadays the girls’ scene is pushing and getting the deserved attention from public. Why is it vital to the snowboarding community to support event like Jib Days?
Personally, I see the Jib Days as an alternative way to reunite girls who share the same passion for snowboarding. Instead of the boring and classical contest format, the Jib project has a different approach to riding. We invite girls to come and shred together, giving them the chance to share two days pushing each other and improving their riding. The exhausting pressure of FIS and TTR contests just does not exist. Girls who usually come to spend the weekend there, they mostly want to have fun! It is not about winning but progressing in company of others.

Tramadol With Paypal What makes it a different experience from other regular snowboard camps?
Basically, the coaching side is what makes it completely different from other camps. Girls they share the same park instead of being followed all day by group coaches,. Riding from morning to late afternoon helps them progress more with each run. Even for riders who don’t really jib, this indirect way of coaching allows them to improve tricks on every slope. Having the chance to share tips and tricks is an effective way to stimulate everyone. The community created during the editions makes the experience more special. For two days all the girls share the same house: cooking, drinking beers and going out clubbing. The synergy between the riders is really strong and creates an easy-going environment.

https://www.worldhumorawards.org/uncategorized/knqm9nv2 5 editions, different riders but same playground. Why does it feel special to you riding the crystal ground park?
Because it is a happy place for me, it feels like home. Apart from the big resorts, it has everything a snowboarder needs. The shapers crew is always friendly and down to create special set-ups for the occasion. In addition, the park is not set far off in the mountains but just a few meters away from the parking lot. With a short T-bar it is possible to take laps all day long without wasting any time on chairlifts.

Getting a closer look to Gaia

https://asperformance.com/uncategorized/23umfi29g Your name has been in the game for a while but we have not heard from you for months. What has been going on lately?
Since I have started studying product design, seasons have been a real struggle for me. This focus on design has taken away most of my time, both mentally and physically. The last two, in particular, I didn’t have any preparation or time to go riding because the amount of hours spent studying. School has been slowly getting me in a depression when it forced me to deprive myself of snowboarding. What used to make me happy has been, in a way, blocked by the student’s life. Finally, this year, I have decided to come back on my board and dedicate more time to snowboarding.

And what about injuries?
Luckily, not having enough time to go riding the past few seasons, prevented any serious injury. Apart from a concussion that occurred this year, I have not suffered any other in particular. But it has already been five years since I had a second surgery for ligaments in my knee. Getting hurt in my best seasons partially blocked me to really express my riding at its best. My first surgery was during the early years of my career, when not too many young girls were riding. Back then I was doing really good and I felt satisfied with my riding. The continuous seasonal disappearing from the slopes, it has not really helped.

https://www.mominleggings.com/2w9oqlz2h The feelings on your first runs back in the park?
Snowboarding it is not something you can forget easily. The happiness that riding brings helps with getting over injuries and fears. But without a doubt the first two runs of the season feel always sketchy and insecure.

https://www.lcclub.co.uk/mlqti6o Let’s talk about your southern roots: Ticino is more known for its powder valleys rather than urban jibbing. How did you end up becoming a rails’ lover?
It all happened during the early days of snowboarding for me The first time I went in a snowpark, I think it was in Bosco Gurin, there were lots of boxes and just one small kicker. I automatically started hitting them. That first experience started my long-standing relationship with jibbing. In 2008, the Intol Snowpark crew organized a city contest in Locarno. The setup was made of big rails and sketchy ledges. I was forced to hit any of them in order to compete against other riders. After the first hit, it was love at first sight. Right after that,I quickly packed my things and the next year, at the age of 17, I spent a whole season in Laax jibbing all day with people who motivated me to ride and progress.

https://wasmorg.com/2024/03/07/ds4vg3jq Being an active artist influences your approach to snowboarding?
Since school is kind of a pain in the ass,, I try my best to divide what time is for studying and what is for snowboarding. Balancing the two spheres help me improve. The fact that my time for riding is strictly limited, forces me to give 100% every time I am able to ride. This has influenced my vision more than school. At the beginning, snowboarding for me was based on learning new tricks every day. Now, after many experiences and years, the approach has totally changed. I focus on my hot tricks and try to add as much style as possible. My vision of mountains and riding has changed as well. Right now, creativity and style are my main goals for progressing and improving. If when I was 16, parks just represented a bunch of obstacles ready to be hit, but now I can see that in between rails, there is always space for a carving or creative moves. It is all about cruising around not spending the whole day on one down rail.

https://fotballsonen.com/2024/03/07/t8t701kx0hn If you had to chose between your board and your motorcycle?
Picking just one — it’s a hard decision. I would say: during summer my motorcycle and over winter my board. A good compromise.
