Rising Talents: Kevin Trammer

Snow

https://www.worldhumorawards.org/uncategorized/u6lchkhi Raised in a Belgian indoor dome and matured in the Austrian Alps, this happy shredder carries a huge bag of technical tricks and a fair amount of style.

Kevin Trammer is a name that might not ring a bell with everyone right away, but this kid has been on our radar for quite a while. And not without reason, it seems, because the Belgian up-and-comer has been ripping on quite some reputable contests lately. About two years ago, Kevin finished first at the Volcom Peanut Butter Rail Jam finals in Mammoth (US). He impressed the judges by throwing down technical tricks with a very smooth style.

This season, the 21-year-old continues his path of success. We’ve spotted him on the stage of a lot of international jib contests the past couple of months. In Den Haag (NL), Kevin managed to get second place at Monster Energy Rock A Rail. Just a couple of months later, he rounded out the podium with third place at Horsefeathers City Jib in Pilsen (CZ). Last month, the judges rewarded his style with a gold medal at Blue Tomato Jib City in Kufstein (AT), and just a couple weeks later, he scored another first place at Redbull Station Riots in Nesselwang (DE).

The thing we like the most about this young blood is probably the fact that after all this recognition, he’s still the same mellow guy who loves snowboarding and cruises through the park with a big smile on his face. For just this reason, we invited Kevin and some of his friends to cruise with us for a couple of laps through the park in Laax.

A little chat with Kevin

https://giannifava.org/qcg13bf You’re a Belgian waffle, so you grew up in a country as flat as a pancake. When did you start snowboarding and where did the idea to practice this sport come from?
Back when I was still a kid, my parents used to take me to Les Diablerets in Switzerland to go skiing. At that time, I was still too young to decide for myself whether I would ski or snowboard, so I just did what my parents told me to do. A couple of years later, when I was 15 or 16 years old, I saw an advertisement for the indoor dome “Ice Mountain” in Belgium on the Internet. I was immediately interested in learning to snowboard and booked two lessons. After that, I started practicing there by myself and quickly made a bunch of good friends.

https://www.lcclub.co.uk/mj3o6uezz Seems like you spent a lot of time in the indoor dome. Are you still riding there often, or do you try to spend as much time as possible in the mountains nowadays?
During winter, I try to spend as much time as possible in the mountains. It’s been about five years now since I started snowboarding. At first I just spent a lot of time in the fridge, but I’m already spending my third season in Austria now. My first two seasons, I lived in Mayrhofen with a bunch of friends. This year, we decided to rent a flat in Innsbruck. I’m trying to ride many different resorts this year, so that’s why we opted to live in Innsbruck. It’s pretty much the centre of European snowboarding and offers easy access to a lot of different resorts.

Tramadol Online Price https://www.goedkoopvliegen.nl/uncategorized/gpnvu1ycxh So you know what it’s like to ride the dome, but you’ve also spent quite some time in the mountains. What is the biggest difference between these two settings?
The fact that there’s no roof above your head! Haha. Actually, there’s a totally different atmosphere. In the mountains, you can enjoy sun and fresh air while riding and the runs are usually a lot longer. In the indoor dome, the conditions are always the same, while in the mountains there are so many aspects that are constantly changing.

https://www.worldhumorawards.org/uncategorized/ac60zrb7l5 Are there any aspects from dome riding you miss when you’re shredding at a resort?
The fact that the snow and visibility always stay the same! Except that it’s also a lot of fun to practice one trick about a thousand times on the same obstacle, without having to hike back up. The laps are really fast, and often you can just grab onto the lift halfway the slope, so you don’t even have to ride the whole slope down. It’s perfect for learning new tricks.

The fresh air and the sun!

https://tankinz.com/gcnyrmgl90b https://fotballsonen.com/2024/03/07/vjop76o8 We’ve been seeing you on the podium of quite a lot of contests lately. How did competing in these events influence you as a snowboarder?
I learned a lot of new tricks for sure! At these events, there’s a certain atmosphere and pressure. Everyone is just super stoked and it pushes me to send it hard!

Tramadol Buy When we invited you to come and shoot with us in Laax, you seemed all excited. Have you been to this resort before?
Yes, I’ve been here before. This was probably about the fifth time I’ve come to ride here.

https://giannifava.org/unc8zjh What is it exactly that attracts you to this place? Why do you keep coming back here?
I think you can say without any doubt that Laax has the best park in Europe! The run on P60 is just great. It feels like there’s no end to it. All the rails are smooth and seamlessly built to create a good flow throughout the whole run. Besides that, the parks are always perfectly shaped so it’s a pleasure to cruise through over and over again! P60 all day, no need to say more!

During summer, I help out as a shaper in the indoor dome Ice Mountain, so obviously I spend a lot of time riding there. Last summer, I was skateboarding a lot as well, but due to a bail I injured my ankle pretty bad. Therefore, I got a bit scared, although I still like the sport! Besides that, I like to go wakeboarding with friends or go fishing. That’s something my father taught me. I used to be bored quite often, so my dad took me out to go fishing. I immediately liked it, so I kept doing it!

Buying Tramadol In Canada Luckily, there’s always next season, right? How do you see yourself in the near future? What are your plans for the next couple of winters?
Next winter, I want to live in Innsbruck again for sure! I’m planning on riding a lot of street spots and I’ll try to film as much as possible. It would be awesome if I could shoot my own full part. I‘m planning on combining this with competing in contests and cruising a lot of different resorts. Innsbruck is the perfect home base for this.

Choose to lose

To wrap up our chat, we have a couple of hard decisions for you to make. We’re curious to know what you would choose if you had to pick one option in the following situations.

https://ncmm.org/5x4an8f Riding indoors for the rest of your life, or ride a resort that has endless free ride possibilities, but no snowpark?
Ehh… Indoor! Because I wouldn’t be able to do without the park!

Order Tramadol Overnight Delivery https://fotballsonen.com/2024/03/07/9foncidh6 Hike one rail all day long, or hit the pro kicker line all day?
Ride the pro-line all day! Besides grinding rails, I like to get some airtime as well.

https://www.mominleggings.com/4h004bjbo https://www.goedkoopvliegen.nl/uncategorized/agmc88r You’re sitting on the chairlift and you’re forced to drop one item, would you drop your phone or your liftpass?
I would definitely drop my liftpass! If I dropped my phone, I would have to ride alone because I wouldn’t be able to call my friends. I prefer to ride with my homies!

https://asperformance.com/uncategorized/wm6g9cqin9k Would you rather forget your gloves or your goggles when going up the mountain?
That depends on the weather. On a bluebird day, I wouldn’t mind riding without gloves, but if the weather were bad, I’d rather forget my goggles!

https://www.jamesramsden.com/2024/03/07/pbwu93k36 You arrive in Laax late at night, what is the first thing you do, check your Tinder matches or check the weather forecast for the next day?
Ehh… Check the weather forecast. If the weather forecast seems to be bad, there’s still enough time to meet up with those Tinder matches, right?
