Two years shooting with Sebi Geiger

https://ncmm.org/hynqtelh0v With rip-roaring skiing skills and stretchable legs, Sebi is a talented freeskier who comes from the holy beer heaven of Germany. The Legs of Steel crew has filmed his skiing around Europe over the years. Since he’s a multi-terrain machine, it is easy to catch him up slaying powder and managing huge park jumps.

Meeting Sebi Geiger

https://worthcompare.com/30kx9rr This is your fourth movie with the Legs of Steel crew. Their last piece of art took two years of shooting. Where did you travel to and what were your best and worse moments?
Most of the footage comes from trips I’ve been part of in Europe. We have travelled around Switzerland and Austria in search of the purest white gold to shred. The best moment is for sure the video shoot that took place in Zurs. I was really stoked about my riding and we got good shots. Thinking back to the worst times — in Stubai I crashed pretty bad on the first day of shooting and I could not ride for the rest of the week. Bad luck!

https://asperformance.com/uncategorized/sw8iaeda1hz We get to see you killing it in all three fields: bc, street and park. Which of them gets your heart rate up most and why is it more special than the others?
In general, backcountry skiing is what really attracts me. With endless lines and opportunities, you can fly high on different features like natural wind lips and steep cliffs. Being surrounded by nature and hiking up untracked paths with my friends is what I love most.

3 pros about backcountry riding
• Nature
• Face shots
• Soft landings

• Hiking
• Getting back the lost gear when you bail hard in powder
• Damp and heavy snow
• Bonus: rocks on landings

You had to deal with many different injuries the last few years. Does this affect your motivation for skiing? And how do you deal with it?
What makes me the saddest when I get injured is the endless amount of time I have to wait before getting back on track. The rehab usually takes forever. The worst thing to do while waiting is checking social networks and scoping your friends out having fun in the powder! But at the end of the process, the time waited is worthwhile because you train hard and the first day back feels even more awesome. But once you get injured several times, you may think twice about going for it and trying hardcore tricks.

https://tankinz.com/ybwv6fc What new tricks are you working on at the moment? You’re not 16 anymore; do you still learn many new tricks?
At the moment, I am not really working on any new tricks. When I was young, I used to learn tricks every second, every day. Now I’m focusing on improving my solid ones, trying new grabs. I do not consider myself a skier who learns tons of new tricks. I prefer to consolidate the ones I am safer about. My hot trick right now is flipping up to quads (laughing).

I am taking part in a big project run by O’Neill in collaboration with you guys at Reverse. I’m stoked about this as well! Otherwise I think I’m doing a few big air and slope-style contests for the World Cup. And in the spring, slushy snow will be waiting for park sessions.
Lastly, I will take some more time to go out and shoot as much video as I can.

Sebi, don’t be shy… Tell us something for the people who don’t know anything about you.
Not too many people know that I’m fully supported by a German beer brand. Free beers every day, life is good. Thanks Hirschbräu!

Freeskiing is not about spinning, go out and make it stylish!
